Tony Buzbee, born on June 1, 1968, in Atlanta, Texas, grew up on a farm alongside his parents and three siblings. His rural upbringing instilled in him the values of hard work and determination, which have been central to his remarkable career.
Buzbee’s educational journey began at Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. During his time at Texas A&M, he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and served as the Battalion Commander of the NROTC Midshipman Battalion, demonstrating leadership qualities that would define his future endeavors. He later pursued a Juris Doctor at the University of Houston Law Center, laying the foundation for his impactful legal career.
In 2000, Buzbee founded the Buzbee Law Firm, a practice committed to advocating for working people, small businesses, and underrepresented groups. His firm handles a wide range of legal matters, including personal injury claims, workplace accidents, defective products and medical devices, commercial litigation, and gender discrimination cases. Known for taking on high-stakes and high-profile cases, the Buzbee Law Firm extends its services beyond Texas, assisting clients across the country.
The firm’s reputation for excellence is matched by its dedication to community involvement. Under Buzbee’s leadership, the firm has become a pillar of support for charitable causes. In October 2021, Buzbee served as Gala Chair for the Houston Children’s Charity, helping raise a record-breaking $2.8 million to support local children in need. In another act of generosity, he donated his $3.5 million exotic car collection to the Jesse Tree, an organization that provides essential services such as food, clothing, medical assistance, and job training to disadvantaged communities. Additionally, Buzbee chaired the Citizens for Animal Protection gala in 2020, showcasing his commitment to the welfare of animals.
